    Does AI Dictation make mistakes?

    Yes, sometimes. On a dense Russian-English test clip it had an 11.6% word error rate and kept 26 of 27 English words. The other apps in our published tests did worse, but no dictation app is perfect. Mistakes cluster around names, rare terms and noisy audio. Add names and work terms to your personal vocabulary to fix the recurring ones. Offline mode makes more mistakes than cloud mode.

    Does AI Dictation work offline?

    Partly. Speech recognition can run on your device, so dictation keeps working without a connection, but offline results are rougher and handle mixed languages less well. Cleanup runs in the cloud: when you are online, your text is sent there for punctuation and filler removal.
